Stalling Suspense from Matthew Ballard on Vimeo.

A look at the cliche "hiding in a the bathroom stall from the killer" sequence in horror movies. Illustrates how prolonged suspense in these sequences work to keep you on the edge of your seat.

  1. Great quality and I really like your opening with the text movement. I think you did a really good job editing all the clips together and it portrays your message really well.

  2. Excellently edited. I love ruminations on genre cliche. There's a great exploratory deepening here, a really effective juxtaposing of image and sound. Wonderful.

  3. This is why I always save it for home base. Really dig the typographical WORK.

  4. Nice work, very good idea. I never realized this motif in horror films. I am trying to think of some other films with bathroom stalls, there has to be a ton!

    Once again though, good work.

  5. I really like this one Matt. If you want you could make this even longer and that would only make it a stronger piece, but after all, that is just nit picking.
